1. What Personal Information About Me Does HALCO Gather?

  • Information You Give Us:

    We receive and store any information you enter on our website at www.halcolighting.com ("Site") or give us in any other way. We use the information that you provide for such purposes as responding to your requests, providing our services, and communicating with you. When you register on our Site for the purpose of purchasing goods, you will provide certain personal and/or company information, including payment information. We require this information so that we can process, fulfill and confirm your transactions and so that we can inform you of each transaction‚??s status. If you are making an Offer on behalf of another person or entity, you must confirm that such other person or entity agrees, in advance, that you may disclose their information to us and that you are authorized to act on behalf of such other person or entity. Any credit information that you provide to us when you register or update your information is stored by HALCO and our security is PCI-DSS compliant .

4. Does HALCO Share The Information It Receives?

We do share information, but only as described below. Otherwise we will not provide your personal information without your consent.

  • Vendors:

    We may share certain information with our Vendors. This information will include any content, requests, and/or product information that you submit to us when you make an Order.
  • Partners:

    We may partner with other parties to provide specific services. When you sign up for these specific services, we will share names, or other contact information that is necessary for the third party partners to provide these services.
  • Agents:

    We may engage other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf. Examples include but are not limited to providing customer services, sending postal mail and email to you, removing repetitive information from customer lists, and analyzing data. These persons have access to personal information needed to perform their functions. These companies do not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information that you provide to HALCO for any secondary purposes.

    We may engage other companies and individuals to perform enhanced services on our behalf. In addition, certain enhanced services require that we contact Internet directories and various search engines on your behalf. Many of our service providers have access to personal information needed to perform their services.     As we continue to develop our business, we may sell or buy businesses or their assets. In such transactions, customer information generally is a transferred business asset.

    We release account and other personal information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with law, enforce or apply agreements, or protect the rights, property, or safety of HALCO, our users, or others.     When you place an Order our Site, we may provide to a vendor, personal information that is needed for your purchase. We may also share personal information among our affiliated companies and our business partners. We use non-personally identifiable information in aggregate form to build higher quality and more useful online services by performing statistical analysis of the collective characteristics and behavior of our Buyers and visitors, and to measure demographics and interests regarding specific areas of our Site. If you are located outside of the United States, please be aware that any information you provide us will be transferred to and stored in the United States. By using this Site or providing us with your information, you consent to this transfer.

A business subject to California Civil Code section 1798.83 is required to disclose to its California customers, upon request, the identity of any third parties to whom the business has disclosed personal information within the previous calendar year, along with the type of personal information disclosed, for the third parties' direct marketing purposes. HALCO does not direct the Site towards children, and HALCO does not knowingly collect information from children. If we discover that a child has provided us with information, we will use commercially reasonable efforts to delete such information from our systems.

We encourage you to be aware when you leave our Site and to read the privacy statements of each and every website that collects personally identifiable information.
